A local TikToker accused of
stabbing a teenager to death did not appear in court Tuesday, despite a large crowd of the victim's loved ones gathering at Bronx Criminal Court.
Tollinche is facing murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon charges in connection with Melo's death. He's accused of stabbing him in the back with a knife on Wednesday, April 29.
Tollinche was in court Monday on separate charges connected to an alleged rape case involving a minor. But today his appearance was waived.
Outside the courthouse, Melo's family, friends and supporters held signs and necklaces with photos of the teen while demanding justice. Several spoke with News 12 about the pain of losing him.
They say the loss has been devastating and vow to continue fighting for justice in his name.
Tollinche is due back in court on June 2.
