The City Island Nautical Museum is paying tribute to the rich boatbuilding history of the island.
At one point, City Island was one of the oyster producing capitals of the world, as well as being home to the biggest sail maker in the world.
Boatbuilding on the island started in the late 1800's and was still a major industry for them until the 1980's.
The City Island Nautical Museum is open April through October on weekends from 1 p.m. to 4pm, but you can book tours year-round. For more information visit their website cityislandmuseum.org.
