The NYPD is searching for two men wanted in connection with eight robberies and attempted robberies across the Bronx, including several that happened within minutes of each other.
Police say the pattern began on Sept. 10, when two suspects approached a 33-year-old man on West 192nd Street, simulated having a gun and stole about $1,700 worth of jewelry from his neck before fleeing on e-bikes.
Three days later, police say the suspects carried out five robberies or attempted robberies in the 49th Precinct in less than 30 minutes.
The incidents happened near Pierce and Hone avenues, Barnes Avenue and Pelham Parkway South, Olinville Avenue and Britton Street, Barker and Arnow avenues, and on Kingsland Avenue.
Police say the suspects displayed a knife during one of the robberies.
In another, they allegedly stole about $8,500 worth of jewelry from a 30-year-old man.
The pattern continued Sept. 28., where police say a 35-year-old man near East Fordham Road struggled with the suspects and was able to recover about $3,300 worth of jewelry they attempted to steal.
About 25 minutes later, police say the suspects approached a 60-year-old man near Duncan Street and Laconia Avenue, displayed a gun, punched him in the face and stole approximately $8,000 worth of jewelry.
Police say the suspects are believed to be between 17 and 22 years old and took off on e-bikes in most of the incidents.
The NYPD is asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
