A man was arrested for his alleged role in a reckless Bronx shooting that left a 12-year-old girl wounded, according to the NYPD.

Destin Burgess, 26, of the Bronx, was taken into custody just before noon Tuesday - just over three weeks after he allegedly opened fire near The Pearly Gates park in Westchester Square.

According to law enforcement sources, Burgess and three other men allegedly shouted "Ewok,” and held up Makk Ballas, or Mac Ballers, gang signs, before they opened fire on Oct. 12.

Sources close to the investigation say the girl was caught in the crossfire. She suffered gunshot wounds to the torso and foot.

A good Samaritan took the 12-year-old to a hospital, according to law enforcement sources. She is expected to recover physically.

Burgess is now charged with attempted murder and assault.

Police say his three alleged accomplices remain on the run as of Tuesday evening.

The NYPD urges anyone with information to call its Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
