The Bangladesh Association of the NYPD expressed condolences to NYPD Officer Didarul Islam’s family and said he embodied the very best of the department.
President Donald Trump shared his condolences in a social media post that said, "My heart is with the families of the four people who were killed, including the NYPD Officer, who made the ultimate sacrifice."
"My heart aches for the victims and survivors of yesterday's tragic shooting in Midtown," Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso shared in a statement.
