The NYPD says a man who was seen walking around in Mount Eden with a "long rifle" was taken into police custody.
According to police, the man was taken into custody without incident, and there are no charges being filed.
The NYPD says a 911 call came in around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday about the man "walking with long rifle."
An X post by the NYPD said to avoid the vicinity of Nelson Avenue between West 172nd Street and Grant Highway and to expect emergency vehicles and delays in the area. Since then, police were spotted by News 12 crews clearing the area and reopening streets in the neighborhood.
Police say no injuries have been reported.
