The Bronx Metro-North Station Area plan could add four new train stations, according to the city's Department of Planning.
The plan, which was approved by the City Council in 2024, will streamline transit across The Bronx in transit desert areas.
The neighborhoods set to see new stations include Parkchester/Van Nest, Morris Park, Hunts Point and Co-op City.
The city said the plan focuses on economic growth in the borough while strengthening commercial corridors and bringing more foot traffic to local businesses.
The city's Department of Planning released renderings of what the stations could look like when the project completed.
The city said they aim to finish the project by 2027.
