A fire ripped through a multi-family home in Van Nest, according to the FDNY.

Officials say 46 fire and EMS personnel responded to 1730 Garfield Place just before 2 p.m. Friday. The blaze escalated to a second-alarm 10 minutes later.

Citizen app footage from the scene shows the originally white home charred and nearly black in color. Another video shows large plumes of smoke rising from the building.

The FDNY says it contained the fire just before 3 p.m.

The hurt firefighter suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, according to fire officials.
