The Throggs Neck Shopping center was acquired by Simone Development Companies 15 years ago. The 300,000 square feet of retail space has served the community's various needs for years. "It's vibrant. It's great. When you deliver great product in the Bronx, it really does well," said Joe Simone, president of Simone Development Companies. Simone told News 12 he's proud of the mix of national, regional, and local businesses he helped bring to the neighborhood. There are 30 businesses open and one final retail space available to rent. The shopping center will also soon be home to the New York Blood Center Bronx location. Several national staples have homes in the Throggs Neck Shopping center. There's an over 165,000-square-foot Target and a nearly 30,000-square-foot TJ Maxx. Other national retailers include Petco, Mattress Firm, T-Mobile and Skechers. The center is also home to food options, including Chipotle, Applebees, Starbucks, Subway, and Five Guys, among others. Multiple tenants told News 12 they love being a part of such a vibrant shopping center where all the business owners support one another. Click HERE for more information.
