Roads have reopened after a sinkhole disrupted traffic on Thursday in Marble Hill.
The large hole filled up with water, forcing cars to navigate around it. Exterior Street between West 225th Street and Broadway was closed for repairs.
The Department of Environmental Protection said that the leak came from a tap at a business that was no longer active and the connection to the water main came loose.
No cars were submerged in the water, and the nearby NYCHA complex did not experience any disruption in water service.
