A family living in Parkchester said they're constantly waking up to find trespassers on their Ring camera in the middle of the night. They sent News 12 several videos of people lurking into their windows, stealing items and throwing cigarettes on the ground. "Very disturbing. Very scary. And it's been happening too long and too often," said Crystal Cruz. She lives with her husband, daughter, and 5-year-old granddaughter. She said seeing people looking into her granddaughter's bedroom scares her. She worries someone may try to break in and get violent. She told News 12 the trespassers started coming three years ago when the shrubs in front of her yard died. She said Parkchester Management told her they would replant the shrubs, but it has not been taken care of.
"I don't want to move, but I don't know what's going to happen if they don't take care of it, because my safety is very important to my family and myself," said Cruz. She's calling on management to replant her shrubs and increase security patrols at night.
