Two people are in custody after two suspicious devices were found in the vicinity of Gracie Mansion at a protest around noon on Saturday, police say.

The protest, which happened during Ramadan, was for an anti-Islam cause led by Jake Lang, a far-right influencer and pardoned January 6 rioter. He promoted the protest on social media. Counter demonstrations happened simultaneously.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani resides at Gracie Mansion. It is unclear whether he was home.

There were no injuries.
