Police responded to a bomb threat Tuesday afternoon at the Mount Eden office of Council Member Althea Stevens.
According to police, the building at 1377 Jerome Ave. was evacuated. No bombs were found.
They say the office received an email about two bombs inside the building.
Stevens issued a statement in a social media post:
“We want to reassure the community that we are taking this situation very seriously and are working closely with the NYPD and appropriate authorities to ensure the safety of our staff and the surrounding area.”
She added that her office “remains dedicated to doing the work of the people and serving residents of District 16.”
