A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting and robbery that happened last month in Eastchester, police say.

Billy Perez was arrested Monday and was charged with manslaughter, criminal possession of a weapon and intentional murder.

The incident happened on Aug. 23 at 1710 E 233rd St. at 5:42 a.m.

As News 12 has reported, a group of unidentified individuals approached another group and forcibly removed property from them. During the robbery, two members of the group shot four people.

The victims, two men and two women, were taken to area hospitals. One of the victims, 18-year-old Werling Mendez, was shot in the head and later died at BronxCare Health System.

Police sources say the incident occurred during a car meet-up.
