Newly obtained video shows a chaotic scene unfolding in the Bronx, where an Immigration and Customs Enforcement investigation near East Gun Hill Road and Hull Avenue ended with two men being taken into custody.
The first video shows ICE agents chasing a man down the street Thursday afternoon. Agents eventually catch up to him and tackle him to the ground.
Witnesses who say they know the man told News 12 that he is undocumented, though ICE has not released details about why he was taken into custody. The circumstances surrounding the arrest remain unclear.
A second video, recorded just steps away from the first incident, shows another man being detained. That man has been identified as 19‑year‑old Jeury Concepcion, who says he is a United States citizen.
Concepcion told News 12 that he was on his way to get a haircut with a friend when they noticed they were being followed. Moments later, he says ICE agents began chasing him before tackling and arresting him.
During the arrest, Concepcion suffered injuries to his head. He believes the incident was a case of mistaken identity.
“I turned my back around. I got two guns in my head and everything. They throw me on the floor. I didn’t know what was going on. He ain’t ask me for no ID… I’m from New York. I was raised and born here. Like it shouldn’t be no reason why I’m going through none of this at all. Like never been through none of this," he said.
News 12 reached out to the Department of Homeland Security for comment and is waiting to hear back.
