STORM WATCH: Cloudy skies to follow gusty thunderstorms in The Bronx

Once the storms clear out, the rest of the overnight is cloudy with patchy fog possible after midnight. Temperatures stay in the low 70s for the overnight.

The Bronx has an opportunity to see showers and thunderstorms tonight through 10 p.m. The main concern with these storms would be gusts between 40-60 mph, which could potentially impact trees and powerlines. Within any of these thunderstorms that do push through, there could also be some pockets of flash flooding.
Once the storms clear out, the rest of the overnight is cloudy with patchy fog possible after midnight. Temperatures stay in the low 70s for the overnight.
Thursday has another round of evening thunderstorms possible. A partly cloudy day and still hot, with temperatures up in the high 80s.
Friday and into the weekend look nice. Sunshine, highs in the middle to high 80s through Saturday with hotter days returning for the second half of the weekend.
We are continuing to monitor the Atlantic for any potential impacts from Tropical Storm Erin. There is the chance for impact to Atlantic facing city beaches from rip currents next week, but we will monitor as this storm works its way closer to us.

THURSDAY: Highs in the high 80s, lows in the low 70s. Evening thunderstorms possible.
FRIDAY: Highs in the high 80s, lows in the low 70s. Mostly sunny and slightly less humid.
SATURDAY: Highs in the middle 80s, lows in the low 70s. Sun and clouds.
SUNDAY: Highs in the low 90s and feeling hotter. Lows in the middle 70s. Sun and clouds.
