After nearly 40 years away from New York City, Bojangles is making a comeback, starting in East Flatbush.
The popular Southern fried chicken and biscuit chain is opening its first New York City location on Church Avenue this winter as part of a 20-store deal.
Longtime fans say the return brings back memories.
“I love Bojangles. I’m glad they’re coming back to Brooklyn,” said Angela Riddick, of Canarsie. “I used to love them, like back in the 80s and 90s! I miss them.”
The Bojangles expansion continues as the chain plans to open more than 50 locations across New York and New Jersey over the next decade, meaning soon enough, you might not have to travel far for that famous chicken and biscuits.
