Three people were injured when a fire broke out in a Soundview building early Monday morning.
The fire broke out on the fifth floor just before 12:15 a.m.
FDNY says one person suffered critical injuries, and two others suffered minor injuries. All three were transported by EMS to Jacobi Hospital.
About 79 fire and EMS personnel responded to the flames.
The crew contained the fire just after 12:40 a.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
